Tried all sorts including those mentioned on here with the exception of external powered usb .Nothing worked. Cloning a drive sector by sector would not be a problem if it were a virus, nor would check disk fail to complete. and Help. I would try putting the device in a different USB port and if that doeskin work try another machine.
I have to say I am a little worried about my hard drive. However, I do not see it under Disk Management, but I do see it under Device Manager - Disk Drivers. However, you can use Win Hex and our tutorials to find out what is missing or wrong with the drive. Under Storage, click on Disk Management.
I performed this on a XP, then recently I got my new computer I tried plugging in the external but it only read the FAT32 one.
