If you want to create one backup of Dual boot Ubuntu and Windows 7, you can use Partition Backup to add both Windows system partitions and Ubuntu Partitions in the backup. I have tested Acronis at work with success, used EASEUS ToDo backup at home with success (but a serious problem - 3.0 backs up but does not restore, 4.0 restores but Another item of concern is a "hidden" boot partition which will need to be duplicated as well. Thanks guys (gender neutral in US). Acronis upgrade was being offered at a steep discount so I bought it but I wouldn't mind a free alternative.

I believe you can browse the Windows based images and restore individual files/folders, that wouldn't be possible with the Linux image. You can never tell which bit rot decides to happen.
